Where did the JOY challenge go?

Hello dear ones, thank you for stopping by today.

Some of you were wondering where all those posts went about the JOY challenge.

We’ll truth be told they are in a few different places. One of them being my journal. They have also been known to be dancing around like sugarplums in my head.

If you were following along and noticed a sudden quietness. We’ll don’t worry. I felt the need to pause. Put on the brakes if you might say.

The JOY challenge brought rest.

It is a much needed rest.

Rest also brought abiding.

You see friends, I became tired and weary. Life came at full speed. It does that sometimes. My feet were going around that mountain again. I say no more. Enough I am done. Giving it all back to Him.

The Lord said to me, "You have circled this mountain long enough. Now turn north!" Deuteronomy 2:2-3

I am heading north.

How about you?

Are you ready for some rest? Are you ready to abide and surrender it all to Him? If you are let me know how I can pray for you.

Choosing Joy Challenge: Joy In My Heart

Hello Beautiful Daughters.
Happy Tuesday to you. So, what are you up to today?

It is raining here in our neck of the woods. Thank goodness for cute rain boots. I hear it may rain for the next couple of days.

There is a song running through my heart today. I’ll share it in a sec.

I just want to encourage you first with this verse. It is found in Hebrews12 verse 1-2.
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

Make the most out of every moment.
Throw off anything that maybe, hindering you today.
Let’s run this race with Joy dear one.

I hope this song puts a little joy in your step today.

Choosing Joy Challenge: Another Thanksgiving Chapter

Welcome. How are you? How was your Thanksgiving weekend?

The Temple Thanksgiving book has another chapter written. One more year of memories have been made.

There was laughter on that day. Laughter that was turned into Joy. The turkey timer went off when we discovered that Mr.Tom turkey was baked upside down. Don’t worry my superhero husband saved the day.

Corn pudding boiled over in the nicely clean oven as the guest arrived. opps…

Gourmet apples were brought by one of our guest. They dressed up the table with candles a~glow.

We gathered around and gave thanks.

We used our fancy silverware. All paper plates & plastic in all of it’s glory.

The food was delish. Too much was consumed.

All the mishaps in the kitchen really doesn’t matter. What matters most is all the laughter that our family had. The laughter that makes your stomach hurt and your eyes well up with tears. There may have even been an incident where pop went flying out the nose.

Sale ads were strung all around the room. The game plan was on, as to when and where we were heading out the door.

Shopping was done at a unusual hour. Thank goodness for hand warmers and hot cocoa.

Naps were taken.

Leftovers were eaten.

The Christmas movie marathon began.

One more year of a Temple Thanksgiving chapter was written.

One more year of leaving the beloved Thanksgiving day behind.

Choosing Joy Challenge: Sunday Scripture

I thank my God every time I remember you. In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now, being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

It is right for me to feel this way about all of you, since I have you in my heart and, whether I am in chains or defending and confirming the gospel, all of you share in God’s grace with me. God can testify how I long for all of you with the affection of Christ Jesus.

And this is my prayer: that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight, so that you may be able to discern what is best and may be pure and blameless for the day of Christ, filled with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ—to the glory and praise of God. Philippians 1:3-11

I look forward to our time together this week. I have been thinking of you and wondering how your doing on your joy challenge.

Thank you for a little grace while I have been away over the last few days. I have been spending time with my family. They are one of my greatest Joys.

Choosing Joy Challenge Day 2: Joy of A Gift

I'm deliberately choosing joy for twenty-one days. Would love to have you join in.

Gifts are fun to give others. Gifts are also fun to receive .

Yesterday, as I peered into our mailbox my eyes spotted a package. When I saw it was for me it made my heart smile. The package was from Yolanda. The timing was perfect. Guess what the name of her blog is? Joy Comes In The Morning.

Yolanda and I were blessed to meet each other on this side of heaven. This picture was taken this summer at Deeper Still. It was a delight to see her there.

Yolanda, is a beautiful woman that encourages us to find JOY in our every day.

She sure has encouraged me to start running by the grace of God.. Click here to stop by her place. Tell her I said hello:)

My prayer for you today is found in Romans 15:13. I encourage you to write this scripture down and carry it with you wherever you go this week.

Choosing Joy Challenge Day 1: Monday

There is nothing like starting a JOY challenge on a Monday. Right? I just know you all are nodding your head. I am nodding mine right there with you. Let’s be honest some of you may even have laughed a bit. Laughter is good for you know.

Let’s get started………

Monday mornings come after the day of rest.

Monday mornings are the day that our eyes awake after a night of slumber.

Monday mornings are filled with precious time spent with the Lord.

Monday mornings are filled with good morning hugs from those you love.

Monday morning air has the aroma of rain falling from the sky and much needed coffee.

Monday mornings the children gather up their things as they head off to school.

My heart fills with gratitude that our children are blessed to attend school and learn.

My heart fills with sorrow for those that are less fortunate.

Monday mornings continue with empty cereal bowls and half drank water cups.

For just a moment there is a pause. “Thank you Lord, for blessing us with enough food and clean water to drink.” We will TRUST you with all of our heart as we head into today. Thank you Father for the Joy of another Monday.

Let’s encourage and pray for one another as we set out on this journey of deliberately choosing and looking for joy in each of our moments.

Choosing Joy Challenge

Hello Everyone,

This morning as I sat down and settled in for my quiet time with the Lord, I began reading in 1 Thessalonians.

Here is the verse that jumped off the pages of my Bible.

“Always be joyful.”

1 Thessalonians 5:22

Such a simple verse, wouldn’t you say?

In those precious moments, I started to wrap my thinking about this joy thing. I don’t know about you but JOY doesn’t always come naturally to me. I may set out for a joyful day then BAM!! All the pressures of the day make my joy meter run out of steam.

Can I get a Amen for grace and mercy.

It just so happens we are heading into the Thanksgiving/Christmas season, where our lives can get a bit busy. We may even become a bit guilty of pushing the real reason of the season aside. In years past friends or family have talked about losing their joy for various reasons.

This is where the choosing joy challenge comes into play.

The challenge is for the next 21 days, starting on Monday November 21st, I will be more intentional about always being joyful and sharing that joy with those I come in contact. I will be sharing a piece of my heart here :)

The choosing joy challenge is about taking this verse to heart. It is about being joyful in all circumstances. It consists of finding joy in each of our moments/days. Joy is something that should also be shared with others.

Are you willing to join me for this choosing joy challenge? Just share one or two things on your heart about joy. Let’s head into this Christmas season with a true spirit of Joy.

Beautiful Blessings~Fingerprints

*I was going through some posts from a few years ago. The picture in this post blessed this mama’s heart; I felt it was worth re-posting.*

As a mom it is easy to get upset and discouraged when we see fingerprints all over the walls or on the windows we just washed which feels like the twenty-third time.

Those fingerprints were designed by our creator. No two are a-like.

I snapped this picture, after I noticed that my daughter had used her fingerprints to let the whole world know that JESUS LUVS YOU!!! Let this picture be a reminder that we need to thank God for those fingerprints.

(it is on my back window of my car) Thank you God for her.

Father, Thank you for entrusting us with these beautiful children. Forgive us of the times that we may have grumbled and complained about dirty fingerprints. Help us to remember that these children are a HANDIWORK of your very own fingerprints. Each child is unique and special, for no two are alike. Let us praise you each and every time we see our children's fingerprints. In your precious name Amen

Beautiful Blessings…Seasons

Each day we wake up we are blessed with a new day. His mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23)

In each day we are gifted we need to remember that God is in each of our moments. He knows when we sit and when we rise. (Psalm 139:2)

He knows what season of life you are in just as He knows when each leaf turns a wonderful, vibrant color that is so perfectly painted each Fall.

He knows our joys and He knows our sorrows.

He knows if we have been up all night with a young child.

He knows where your teenager is while you are at home pacing and praying to bring them home safe.

He knows if you are a parent of a child with special needs.

Our God has crafted each one of us knitting us together in our mother’s womb.

Each one of us is a beautiful blessing; we are fearfully and wonderfully made.

Let this be a reminder to all of us that God is in each moment and each season; for He delights in each one of His Beautiful Daughter’s.

Beautiful Blessings~Just Give Me Jesus

Hello Beautiful Daughters

This has been one of those weeks. On one hand I want to have a good’ ole toddler tantrum and on the other, I know I need to pick my cross and follow Him. (Matthew 16:24)

Let’s face it people will hurt us and people will let us down. I am so grateful that in Gods word Jesus said," He will never leave us nor forsake us.” Can I get a AMEN?

I could keep stomping my feet like I am two but I am refusing to do so. I am turning up the speakers and singing praises. After all, I am just a girl who is saying, “Just Give Me Jesus.”

Turn up those speakers, so we can sing, "Beautiful Blessings of Praise" together.

Beautiful Blessings~ Friendships

Friendships with other women are vital. Each generation of women need other each other. It doesn’t matter if we in our eighties or in our teen years, we all have something to give to one another. We all have something we can learn from each other.

I am so thankful for the blessing of friendship. Over the years I have prayed for good friends in my life. I value these friendships that He have given me. None of them are alike each one is in a different season of life.

These friends are ones who I can laugh with till we have tears in our eyes. Don’t you just love that? These friends encourage me in all sorts of ways. These ladies have cried with me, prayed with me, sent a card in the mail when they felt that tug in their heart to do so. They pick up the phone to call or send a text. We have done Bible Studies together, traveled together and even rode out a tornado at Chicago airport. Yes, that was a wild day! Some of these friends live states away, so we may not see or talk that often. With each time that we do it is as if we never left our friendship behind.

Ladies, you know who you are if you are reading this. You have a special place in my heart. You are a Beautiful Blessing to me. Thank you for all the memories. I love ya;)

What friend of yours stands out today whom you can encourage? Call them, drop a card in the mail to them. Tell them how much you value your friendship. I bet you will put a smile on their face.

Maybe you are someone struggling with friendships. Let me encourage you today. Pray that God will show you those friendships He desires for you. I would be happy to pray with you on this.

Beautiful Blessings~ A Great Blessing

Beautiful Blessings came today while going through a box of “stuff”

Sometimes we find blessings when we become still. Sometimes we find a blessing when we reach into a box with a pile of overstuffed papers that need to be sifted through. This box brings much Joy, Tears and saying more of “YES LORD" I will follow you. This overstuffed box“stuff” became a treasure within the heart.

In this box was a letter written by my Uncle Jim who held a special place in my heart. He ministered to others all over the United States and Canada.

Jim wrote this letter to the family before he went to be with Jesus. Here are the words he wrote. I pray that it will touch your life beautiful one. It sure has once again touched mine.

Dear Loved Ones & Friends,

Jesus said, “In My Father’s house there are many mansions. If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you I will come again and receive you into myself that where I am there you may be also. John 14:2-3(KJV)

On April 28, 1955 I knelt down beside my living room floor couch and there repenting of my sinfulness accepted the LORD Jesus Christ as my personal Savior.

On May 1, 1955 I made a public confession of my faith. On May 8th, 1955 I followed Christ in Believers Baptism. Soon after that I was called to preach.

On August 15, 1956 I preached my first sermon using Mark 16:15 as the text. On December 31, 1957 I was ordained to the Gospel Ministry at Troy Baptist Temple while Pastoring my first Church at Chattanooga, Tennessee.

For more than forty years I have served the LORD Jesus Christ in over half of the United States, preaching and evangelizing. Nearly six of those years were spent in Canada. To All I Say, “To God Be The Glory,”

You must always remember that a Christian is not always perfect, only forgiven. There have been many failures in my life as a Christian for which I am not proud, but I’m thankful to be forgiven. I praise the LORD for all the good accomplishments He has allowed me to achieve.

The Psalmist said, “Oh that men would Praise the LORD for His goodness,” I do praise Him, both in life and in death. He does all things well.

Being taught in the Christian life that testing comes before the blessing and that testing comes after responsibility, I experienced just that learning also that with every testing and blessing the next to come would be greater and so they were. After forty-three years as a Christian, the lesson was learned well that each testing got greater and it would be followed by a greater blessing.

Then came the news that I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I began to face the greatest testing of my lifetime. Many wonderful verses of the Bible were given to me by my good Shepherd, the LORD Jesus. To this verse I was made to cling, as Job 13:15 said of old, “Though He slay me yet will I trust Him.”

My cancerous kidney was removed. Along with another kidney problem I also had a pleural offusion which contained over one liter of fluid. The fluid was also removed in January following the surgery. The cancer had now spread over into the effusion of the right wall. Now I was not only trying to get well but I was faced with a serious adversion to food. What few calories I could take in were being consumed by the cancer.

Yes, this has been the greatest testing ever called on for me to face in this life. This great testing will be followed by the greatest blessing. I have now been called to walk through the shadow of the valley of death. As I’m walking now in the deep valley I will fear no evil. Why my friend?

Beautiful Blessings: PB& J Moments

Blessings can come while having conversations over PB&J. In these moments you PAUSE for just a moment to listen to a young child’s burst of excitement.

Never mind, the PB&J all over their little face for they have a story to tell. You try and keep your mind and heart focused as so many other things seem to want your attention. Then you remember these PB&J conversations are precious so you capture it in your heart.

Your little one is all done sharing their story. It’s time to wash those sweet sticky fingers and messy face. You don’t mind one bit. Your glad you PAUSED. You whisper a prayer to thank God for moments like these.

31 Days of Beautiful Blessings.. Recipe

I love some good ‘ole comfort food. How about you? I am putting this in the 31 Days of Blessings because a good recipe can be a blessing. Right? I have a file of granny's recipes that we like to pull out from time to time. We even save her mixer for those special days:)

This afternoon, while searching for menu ideas I saw this recipe for Ranch Potatoes. Certainty I cannot take credit for it. Layla over at “The Lettered Cottage” told us how her aunt made these yummy potatoes for her. It was a blessing because here I was writing out our family's menu plan for next week. These are definitely going on there. mmmm

Ranch Potatoes

3 lbs frozen cubed hash brown potatoes, thawed
2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, cubed
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of potato soup
1 (10 3/4 ounce) can cream of chicken soup
2 (1 ounce) envelopes hidden valley ranch dressing mix
2 cups shredded four-cheese Mexican blend cheese, divided
1 cup french fried onions

Directions:

In large bowl, blend soups and cream cheese.
Microwave till creamy and cheese is melted, stirring occasionally.
Stir in well, the dressing mix, then fold in 1 cup (half) the shredded cheese, then the potatoes.
Fold well till all potatoes are coated.
Pour/spoon into lightly greased 13x9 glass baking dish, mashing down a little, and spreading in pan evenly.
Sprinkle top with rest of shredded cheese.
COVER and bake at 350º for 50-55 minutes.
Uncover, top with onions.
Bake UNCOVERED for another 5 minutes or till onions are lightly browned.
You can add diced ham crumbled bacon or your favorite fixings.

Beautiful Blessings..The Small Matters

Have you ever thought about how the small matters?
The hands in this picture are carrying a box of diapers to be donated to a baby they have never met.
These diapers will give someone Hope.
These diapers will help give someone a glimpse of Faith.
These diapers will help someone to see they are Loved
These diapers will let someone know they Matter
These diapers will help someone hear about the Love of Jesus.
These diapers will help someone know they are Fearfully and Wonderfully Made.
You see, when a young woman in need with a baby can't even afford to buy diapers for her child, we have to help her. We have to show them the hands and feet of Jesus.
Our Father expects us to take care of one another and to begin with "the least of these." God does not call all of us to sell everything we have and give it all to the poor, however He does call us to be a light. If we want to be the hands and feet of Jesus, we need to open our hearts to the things that matter, even if it is small. The small things matter to others.
Will you consider the next time you're at the store, picking up a package of diapers (sizes: newborn, 1, 2, 3,4, 5) and dropping them off to your local community pregnancy center? Include a card to the mother. You may never meet the mother and her baby here on this earth but just maybe you will see them in heaven because of your blessing.
So see small really does matter. Let’s be a Beautiful Blessing to others in need.

There is a fascination with the sun setting.

The sky looks like a night at the circus eating cotton candy. You find your hands are not sticky from the sugar melting between your fingers. Instead your heart melts as the beauty is captured right before your eyes. Your voice calls your family because you do not want them to miss this moment. This is another moment of God’s Beautiful Blessing. A moment of wonder… The children come running across the fresh cut grass and they exclaim the beauty with you. You are thankful you took time to pause for another moment of this blessing.

Beautiful Blessings.... Saturday Recap

It was my intention to write about Beautiful Blessings this am. The day went into full force one my toes hit the floor. This is going to be a bit of randomness about our day.

Our family enjoyed a glorious Indian summer day. Here are some fun things we did: Softball practice, football in the front yard, painted furniture, painted furniture, painted furniture. Did I mention we painted furniture? Ha Ha.. Cannot wait to move it back into the house tomorrow after church. It was such a nice day that my wonderful husband grilled us a good tasty meal of bbq ribs. He is a great cook!! I love him to pieces. What can I say I love my family from the moon and back. They are Beautiful Blessings:)

Welcome to day 7 of BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS.

Each day we wake up we have a choice. A choice to be thankful for our blessings or a choice to grumble. God has granted us a new day..
“This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118: 24
Let’s rejoice for our beautiful blessings today. Let’s praise Him for the things He hath made. Lift up your voice and make that choice no matter what your going through.
Start today by looking at the beauty around you that God created.

Praise Him for each thing as you go about your day. You may even want to carry your camera and document with pictures of all the BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS.

Beautiful Blessings...Ways We Communicatte

With all the technology we have today it is easy to get distracted.
We email…
We facebook and tweet our “Happy Birthday Wishes”
We text instead of pick up the phone and talk.
The list could go on & on….
In no shape or form am I saying these forms of communication are not the way to go. I use them all. What I am saying is, When was the last time you took the time to bless someone with a face to face conversation? When was the last time you sent a card to a family member or a friend? Even asking ourselves when was the last time I helped someone by cooking them a meal, watching there children so they could go on a “much needed date.” This has been on my heart this morning and has challenged me as well.
Who can you send BEAUTIFUL BLESSINGS to today? Make a list. Pray and ask God whom that special person might be. It could even be a single parent in your neighborhood or church who just needs a simple reminder they are BEAUTIFUL and LOVED.
I know this maybe a stretch but let’s take time and interact instead of distract.

Beautiful Blessings...Laughter

Happy Wednesday Beautiful Daughters. It has been a busy couple of days here at our home, so I have decided to combine two days together. Please tell me that you have those kind of days/weeks too. *Smile*:)
Sometimes we just need to stop, pause and laugh. Are you willing to do that today? If there is a line for this today can I be the line leader? Please pick me. Pretty please….Okay, that line leader stuff is the former teacher in me. If you want to be the line leader it’s okay go right ahead, I promise not to whine about it.
Anyway back to the blessing of laughter.
This summer our family went to the Creation Museum. It was a blast. There is so much to do and see. If you ever get a chance to go you will be glad you did.
While out strolling through the petting zoo we saw these guys. They made us laugh so hard. It was as if they were smiling and saying, “Take some time to laugh today,.”

Right after I took the picture above they turned to the side. We were guessing that this is there best side to be photographed. We all have our best side right? Notice how they are still smiling.

This went on for about 20-30 minutes. It was fun to sit there and laugh with our family. Now you may not get the humor here today. If not that’s all right. It was a blessing to laugh with family that summer day. It made for good memories to tuck away in our heart.
I almost forgot about this one. We think he was feeling left out of the pictures. He kept wanting us to feed him but we ran out of change. I felt bad cause he is so cute.

Thank you God for the blessing of laughter and thank you for the blessing of family.

Beautiful Blessings...Count your blessings

When the word blessings comes to mind it takes me back to childhood. I remember it as if it were yesterday. I can still hear the sounds of the piano playing while standing next to my parents and my beautiful grandmother. Here was this young girl belting out the chorus, “Count Your Blessings”

Now you may or may not have grown up turning the pages to a song in a hymnal. Either way for the next 30 days we will be slowing down and counting our Beautiful Blessings. Let’s thank God for what He has done.

Our Tuesday Life….

Today, as the sound of the alarm went off it began another day. Another, day of my dear husband going to work to provide for his family. Another day, I kiss him goodbye with sleep still in my eyes. Another day, we hold hands before he walks out the door. I am so in love with this man. He loves me with bedhead and all. A prayer is whispered for him.

Tuesday was another day of hitting snooze on my alarm 3x’s. I push myself to wake-up to have some interrupted time with our Father. It was another day of having a song run through my head. I stumble toward the coffee pot. This was the song on my heart.

This house is still and quiet.The the moon shines outside in all of it’s glory. It is time for me to settle in for some quite time with Him. As, I settle in I stumble on the word

Time Passes by as I pray and ponder…

Our teenage daughter is up & is getting ready to begin her day. Let me just pray for her once more. “Lord, teach her your way. Let her heart love you, Let her ears only hear what is good, cause her eyes to see what is only of you. Protect her and those around her on this day.” May she never turn from your way…. In your name Amen

As her mama, I know the time is short before she heads off to school. I make her a bowl of her favorite cereal. She needs me to grab her flip flops while she eats. I put them by the door. We settle in at the table for a quick “mother & daughter” good morning exchange.

Hugs…..then she out the door. This is what she left behind. It is still warm.

Once more prayer for her as she is on her way to school.

My phone receives a text. It is her. The texts reads.

________just said that is is picture day!!! I text back saying, “What are you serious!” Then I remembered to just laugh and breath. I encouraged her with, “If it is then you will be dressed as yourself. She was wearing a softball t-shirt.” I think to myself, “yep, that is the one that brought home a championship.” I smile to myself & laugh.

The text comes back once more..It is on the_____th. Oh, good. Mama, texted once more.”Okay wow that’s close huh ha-ha! Nothing like giving school pic day a good scare. At least you were having a good hair day!” Love you baby girl….

I just adore and thank God each day for this girl!!

Time to try & settle and finish my quiet time once more with Him. Time passes then the clock says, “Time again for another one to go off to school.” The horn on the bus beeps because I admit it’s Tuesday so I let him sleep in.

I walk in to wake him and the dog up. “Mom, is it cheeseburger day?” I check the school menu. Yep. I smile since, there were no lunches that needed packed today.

We hurry on about our morning. “Now remember to call your teacher by her new married name.” Mom!! Yes, I know she is a Mrs. now. I smile and laugh cause who doesn’t laugh at the sarcasm in that voice.

The dog takes a ride with us to school. He is still under the weather. We are hoping that it will make him feel somewhat better. After all, it is Tuesday, a great sunny day for taking a car ride. We talk about the famers new grass that is growing :)

Oh no, just five minutes before the tardy bell rings. “Where did the time go.” We exchange goodbyes. “Have a good day, mama will be praying for you today.”

I just love that boy. He is so precious to his mama.

Let’s try this once more. Time to finish my quite time with my Father. Then I see it a dish left behind by my boy. He just loves his strawberry cereal.

One more prayer for him. “Give him the strength today to finish his work. Allow him to not to miss any recess. Praying this over him Psalm 86:11 AMP “Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart [solely, reverently] to fear and honor Your name.”

Teach Him your ways LORD that he may always walk and live in your truth. Unite his heart to love and honor you.

Let’s try this once more…..

The breeze is blowing in the wind. My eyes fall on this beauty of God’s wonder. This verse is settling in the marrow of my soul.

I ponder the words from this verse. I think of the day we have all ready had.Then I remember the word. SURRENDER……

I think about the song. Revive Us Again

The phone rings. I think another, Tuesday interruption but I know this friend needs me. It is week two of pre-school drop off for her youngest. We chat and once more. I settle my eyes and my heart back in…

The time is refreshing..

Only to be interrupted again. I remembered something. I left the dog in the car. Remember, we took the sick dog with us to school. I just laughed and wondered if our Father was getting a good laugh we me too. Don’t worry the dog was okay. He was fast asleep in the cool autumn air. He would have preferred I left him sleep there. He does love the car:)

Another Tuesday, another day. I stop and ponder & think I am so thankful for this day. I thought I had to settle in for just one moment with Him but what I got was LOTS of moments… After I SURRENDERD my day.

Our Tuesday Life is another day that we will Praise Him and Cherish this very day.

Just a little project..

If your house it anything like ours you have a “project to-do list” that reaches for miles. Our list of projects was put on hold this summer since softball/baseball season was in full swing around our neck of the woods. (no pun intended for the full-swing either :) Today, I plan on tackling one or two of those projects.

May, I present to you, “The Side Table.” She is a golden honey color and stands at three feet tall. She has been a great sport for thirteen years of holding the fish food. She is just standing there saying, “It is time to give me a new look, don’t you think?'”

I am off now to see what I can do with her. What about you, what project(s) do you have sitting around your house that you can accomplish today or even over the next week? It could be as simple as cleaning off the kitchen island. Yes, our kitchen island is a catch all too. Whew! I bet you feel better knowing you are not the only one with a island problem:)

I admit our family hit BUSY head on in the late winter/early spring months. Why? our daughters first year of school sports. Then as soon as it ended her travel fast pitch team headed out with the song” On the road again.” The team is like one big family, we have been together for three years even welcoming some new family members this year.

Since “Mama Temple”(that is what all the girls call me) spends most of her time at the softball field, I headed out the door last weekend to finishing reading this book between games. Here is proof.

It made for some good conversation with the other moms. The moms and I talked about it during the girls warm up time and between the loooong rain dely. The girls won 1st place that day in case you are wondering. Whooo Hooo!!

Anyway, our family is taking the Fall off. That’s right Joanne. We will be having a season of no school sports, travel softball or even little league sports. Okay there is a bit of a disclaimer I need to add….that isn't to say we won’t be going to the my daughters pitching lesson or batting cage for fun. I am sure a game will be played out in the yard. Just no running to and fro to tournaments. We are going to REST for a season. Don't worry softball family we will reunite when the season begins. We love ya!!

It’s funny the word REST and SABBATH have been coming to me over and over again. Priscilla even talked about how important it was to have "Sabbath Spaces" in our lives at Deeper Still two weeks ago.

Deeper Still

Since attending Deeper Still in Louisville, Kentucky almost two weeks ago, I have not been the same. I have yet to share all of it here. My heart has once again forever changed.
To be honest I am not sure how to describe or even put into words about being there. Since being home the work has continued. I just love our God.

Here are five words that stood out to me. Each has a significant meaning.

LOVE

REST

SABBATH SPACES

WORSHIP & WARFARE

GENERATIONS

I will share more about each one of these words, when I feel more led to do so. For now, I am RESTING in all that He has spoken and continuing to speak into mine and my family's life.....
What a joy to have been able to be at the last Deeper Still with these ladies.

Amber Gallagher, me, Lora O. and Kelli Swisher on Friday Night. Oh, if you have never met our dear Amber go over to her ministry site Sacred Revolution to learn more about her. My daughter is in her Princess Within Camp this week. She is having fun and learning how to live for Jesus.

All of these ladies are so precious. They were so excited with our floor seats.

What a joy to hug Yolanda

Did you catch that we were at Freedom Hall.

Tammie Head led our morning devotion on Saturday. How timely. I was on week 5 of the study she wrote called Duty or Delight. I cannot say enough great things about this Bible study and about Tammie. Tammie and I was able to talk latter on that day. What a blessing she is.

Priscilla Shirer, Kay Arthur and Beth Moore. Three generations of gifted speakers. What a blessing to hear each one that weekend.

Kelli and I were able to talk with Vicki Courtney. Vicki’s new book 5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Son was just released. Go check it out. If you have a daughter, granddaughter or niece may I recommend 5 Conversations You Must Have with Your Daughter. It is a must have.

Angie Smith you are a doll. It was great to meet ya girl!

Silence, Sunshine and Snow

I have been quiet here the last two weeks. Sometimes we just need to unplug and refocus our priorities.

During this time of silence, I spent time with the ones that I love the most. Our family had a blast on spring break. There is nothing like packing for two different climates. Yep, we packed for the sun and snow. I bet you are scratching your head right about now. That’s ok sweet ones I am too. (insert laughter) That is how this family does vacationing. We like to travel in a flash and pack it all in on one trip. You would either have a load of fun with us or be exhausted by the time you arrive home.

Now I must say we were in need of some sunshine.
My friend text me and said make sure you hug a palm tree for me. This picture is for her. J

This week our little guy had a birthday. He is growing up too fast.
He told my dad that he just doesn't feel older. Maybe he will next year.

Too funny!!

Since it is his birthday week he wanted to post this again for all of you.

Are you a dreamer?

I am. I like to sit and think about the dreams that have been placed in my heart.
There are dreams that have come fulfilled and others that are still in the waiting.
During those waiting times our dear Father has used those times for healing, growing and stretching. He knows His girl.

One of those dreams that has been tucked away has been to attend She Speaks Conference. I have never been. I have heard wonderful things about it from others. She Speaks is for those that have a have a dream of speaking and writing tucked tucked away in their heart. It is also for those that have a heart for women’s ministry. I have that dream.
Lysa Terkeurst is offering an opportunity to win one of 2 Cecil Murphy Scholarships to attend She Speaks. That is a true blessing!

All this dreaming started when I was a little girl. I wanted to let everyone know about Jesus. I would sing my heart out on my pink and grey ten speed bike. It was to the tune "Jesus Loves Me." I wanted all of the world to know about Him.

Fast forward a few years and the dream got pushed aside. A new song, came out of my mouth. This girl stopped singing about her Jesus. Oh, how I must have broken His heart.

Even though, the song became a new tune, He was still there, waiting on His daughter with His arms out stretched. He still loved me.

I am so thankful for His grace, His mercy and for redeeming the dream He had for me. These past few years has been about this daughter peddling fast, to those out stretched arms. The dream of telling others about Jesus, has been reborn. The songs out of my mouth have a new meaning. His word has came alive and active. I fell back in love, with Him all over again.

More dreams have been born. One of those came while at a bloggers retreat in Florida.
God was there. He tucked dreams into each one of His daughters hearts, all because someone stepped out in obedience. I treasure each one of those ladies that was there.
Before, leaving I was handed a book entitled The Dream Giver. God whispered to my sweet friend to hand it to me. I am glad she did. The words she wrote have significant meaning. He sees me. He knows my deepest dreams.

He knows my dream of telling others about His love, His mercy, His grace and His forgiveness.

He has whispered, "Daughter, you will stand up and tell your story and it will be written for others to see." Who me? I ask. Sometimes, I feel like Moses but then God shows back up to remind me of this dream tucked away in my heart. He reminds me of the times, He has carried me through, reached down and put words in my mouth to tell His daughters about the love He has for them.

I sit in awe with tears streaming down my checks of the dreams He has given me. It is hard to fathom them sometimes. I will run this race; my eyes will be fixed on Him. He will be my guide through this dreaming process.

He is calling His daughters to the dreams He has for their lives. Will you respond to Him today? What dreams has He tucked away in your heart?

Warm Weather in February

What a BEAUTUFUL day it is here! No snow. The temperature is going to be in the high 60′s. That is a nice break from all the ice & snow we had over the last few weeks. Feels like we are on vacation at the beach & we haven’t even left our house. Thinking about pulling out my flip-flops Ha Ha

As, I am typing this I can hear those winter birds singing a happy song. Or maybe they are telling me, they need more food.

I am most certain the windows will be down in the carpool lane. The teen girls will bounce into the van wanting to stop for some ice-cream. This mama won't mind one bit, with a smile on her face.

Our mushy yard will be turned into a softball field.

The grill is going to even get a workout of it's own. Hmm, wonder what we should grill for dinner?

Oh the things we can do today just gets me so excited! I am sure you haven't noticed.*smile*

What do you like to do when it warms up in the middle of winter? Or on a really nice day if you live somewhere warm and tropical, how are you going to spend the day?

I just dropped off the most lovable little guy at school. Before, he jumped out into the cold, we had a good conversation that went like this.

Mom: remember how to spell important on your spelling test cause it is im-port-ant

Lovable little guy: "mom" I think I am going to miss like four on my test

Lovable little guy: I do not know how to spell attention

Mom: att-en-tion remember the tion on the end

Lovable little guy: "mom" with sarcastic voice

Mom: Just pray before you take your test. Love you have a great day

Lovable little guy: Love you too

Then lovable little guy jumps out of the mini van into the cold. After all he has to go take a
im-port-ant spelling test.

All this spelling talk got my attention. It made me think about the conversation I had with my friend Kelli yesterday over a Chick-fil-A breakfast burrito. We talked about things that have been getting our att-en-tion.

I confessed over that breakfast burrito that facebook was taking way too much of my attention, so I have laid it down.It is called a fb fast. You won't find me there until I feel the release.

I have been putting more of my attention in other areas. Like reading. I just finished Becoming More Than A Good Bible Study Girl. What a great book! Highly recommend it, if you have not read it yet.

Another area I have been focusing more of my attention. Reading through my Bible in chronological order. Only on day 41. It has been amazing. I love digging into God's word each morning!

This mama is being still and listening to what God has next. Yes, He seems to be getting my att-en-tion

Standing In Line

I am thankful for God's word. Reading it is a real treasure. I wanted to share with you what I read this morning in my personal quiet time. I am meditating on this verse today.

Isaiah 41:10
So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand

He is with you no matter your circumstances. He will give you strength.
Have confidence beautiful one that with Him you can handle anything.

Write this scripture down on a note-card, post it on your bathroom mirror, or put in in your car. Meditating on scripture is powerful and life changing.

Treasures of Thankfulness Day 3

I am thankful for God's amazing Grace. I am thankful for this crowd in the picture above. I am thankful for them showing a LOVE for LIFE. Those that came out, may never see or know the lives that will be saved by a simple walk in the rain.

Teenagers, women, and men will accept Christ because of them. Generations will be changed because of the choice made to lace up their shoes and brave the rainy,cold weather.

Women will be freed from past hurts and pain. Each individual will learn someone cares as they walk through the pregnancy center doors. They will learn they are not alone in the silence. They will learn that God will forgive them of the abortion that they may now regret.

Children will be fed, clothed and learn about LOVE too. Tears will fall. Smiles will be wide. Hugs will be given. The families who receive will have an appreciation for those who gave. Why? All because someone made a choice to show the Love of Christ.

Life truly is a precious gift. We need to embrace every moment and be thankful for all that we have in our lives. Our heart should overflow with thankfulness for all of the treasures He has given us.
Treasures are somthing that shouldn't be shoved into a box. Treasures should not be lost because of the day to day routines or too much busyness in our personal lives. It's time we STOP and open our treasure chests. It's time to remind ourselves of these simple treasures that God has given us. It's time to show our thankfulness.

Announcing.....Are you ready?

Now that you are done jumping in the air, pull up a chair. Let's talk about this excitement over some southern sweet tea. That is what good girlfriends do right?

Now that we are sitting down, sipping our sweet tea let me make an announcement. What is all this excitement in the air? Are you ready?

Premier Christian Cruises was looking for ten bloggers to blog about the next Girls Get -A -Way Cruise in January 2012. I was selected as one of them. Whoo Hoo!! Now you know why I am celebrating with some leaps, bounds and sweet tea. I want to congratulate all the other bloggers too!

So what does this mean for all of you. Lots of upcoming FUN. I would like to see all of you go on this cruise with me. I have never been on one. How about you?

Go ahead and mark these dates out. Put your vacation in. Make plans with all your girlfriends. Moms take your daughters. Daughters take your mothers.Call the in-laws if you want too. For goodness sake grab your flip flops, you will not want to miss this very important date.

The date to set sail together is January 12-16, 2012. I will have more information soon. Stay tuned. Keep some sweet tea on hand, there will be more excitement to come.

Simple Treasures

Apple Cinnamon Crock Pot Oatmeal

Here in our part of the country the temperatures are getting cooler. I love the smells and beautiful colors that Fall brings. Since the temperatures are down to the 40's in the morning, I thought it was time to dust off this recipe for Crock Pot Oatmeal. It is a family favorite. This recipe is great if you have family or friends in town. Nothing like the smell of yummy breakfast waiting for your, as you peel back those eyelids.

Apple Cinnamon Crock Pot Oatmeal

Ingredients
*2 cups steel cut oats (Bob’s Red Mill) (not instant or rolled oats)
*8 cups water
*1 tsp. cinnamon (sometimes I use more)
*1/2-1cup brown sugar
*1 tsp. vanilla
*2-4 apples diced (depending on how many you want in it, we like lots)

Directions
*Spray your crock pot with nonstick cooking spray.
*Add 8 cups of water.
*Add all ingredients in slow cooker stir and cook on low for 6-8 hours

This recipe can be made with a variety of ingredients. A friend of mine adds maple syrup to theirs. Just remember to use the steel cut oats, or you'll have a soupy mess.

What does LOVE look like in our home   this week?

Here are the top 5 in the Temple house......

1. Husband painted our master bathroom when, I was under the weather. Oh, how I appreciate him

2.Our son saying on the way to school "Oh mom it is ok, that you have coffee breath, it is fine."

3. Going to get ice cream with my girl and laughing. Why? The dog went too. Skippy thought he should eat our ice cream, when we were not looking. Silly doggie. That will teach us to buy him his own cone.

4. Helping an older gentlemen in the parking lot. He was trying to reach a cart with his cane. He needed the cart to help him walk into the store. He said to us, "I'll see you in Heaven"

5. Thankful my wonderful husband helps do the laundry.

Prayer for a missing teen girl

This past weekend I had the opportunity to meet some very special people. One of them whispered something in my ear that broke my heart. It was about a young teen from their hometown. This young lady has taken the wrong path.

She has ran away from home. I cannot help to keep praying for this girl even though I am unaware of her name. She is only 15. It breaks my heart that she would run away from her family. From what I understand this young beautiful one, met someone. She has not been seen for over two months.

I cannot help to think of her family. How they must feel laying in bed each and every night wondering if she is cold, hurting, or even hungry. They have been searching everywhere for her. This teen is from the Orlando Florida area.

Father, I bring lift up this young daughter of yours. You know each step that she has taken. Each turn that she has made. I come to you and ask for full protection, surround her with ministering angels. I Pray that there is some divine intervention of someone put in her path today. Someone that will show her love and grace. Someone that will be the hands and feet of Jesus. I pray for full redemption and healing for her. I pray that she will come to know Jesus and be baptized. Her family is hurting. Give them peace. I pray that someone will also be the hands and feet of Jesus to her family today. I pray in Jesus name that if they do not know you as their personal Saviour that they will. Let this young lady know that she is beautiful and loved. Father bring your daughter home to her family. In your precious name Amen

All she has to do is sign up and have her doctor fax a note confirming the treatment.

Cleaning for a Reason will have a participating maid service in her zip code area arrange for the service. This organization serves the entire USA and currently has 547 partners to help these women.

Cleaning for a Reason was founded in May 2006 by Debbie Sardone.

I just recently learned about this on Thursday from our women's ministry at my church and wanted to get the word out.
Let's be a blessing to someone. Let them know that there are people out there that care and want to help them during this difficult time.

Mirrors

Mirrors. Each day young girls and women all over get up and look into them. We use them to check our hair, put are make up on, brush our teeth and so on.

Sometimes we like the mirror. Sometimes we don't. Maybe each time you look into that mirror you wish you could change something. I know sister, I have had those days too. Maybe, you are just having one of those "hair days". Ok so maybe it is not the hair. Is it something else? Whatever it is God is calling you to look into His mirror today dear ones. If you are not sure where to start or how to look into God's mirror, I would honored to come right along side of you.

When looking at Psalm 45:11 It tells us The king is enthralled by your beauty; honor him, for he is your lord.

Ephesians 2:10 For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

A Little Radical Read-Along

Whew! Where did the summer go? I really wish for just a few weeks we cold have frozen it and just sat by the pool. Nope. It did not happen that way. Kids everywhere are showing off their new backpacks and heading off to school.

What does that mean for us moms? A little radical read-along. Yep, that's right it is time for us moms to put up our toes and read a book together. Dads are invited too. We do not want you to feel left out. I know you want the details.
The book that we will be reading together is Radical by David Platt.

We will read a chapter a week. Sounds doable, right?
I more than likely will be reading while sitting in the pick up line. How about you?

Words of a brokenhearted one

I am usually the one that desires to pick up the bruised and broken ones. The ones that feel unloved. I have been there so I understand. It is my desire for each young girl, teen and women of all ages, feel that they are loved and beautiful. It is my desire for them to know that they are His daughters. I want them to see and know Jesus with all their heart.

Lately, I have been going through some desert times. Some preparation, if you know what I mean. I felt like I was crossing over. This weekend brought some wonderful time with our Father. Some God moments.
Then it hit. Words. Why do we let other's words define us sometime? I went to bed and woke up feeling like I was the brokenhearted one.

Those words brought confusion.Yes, we can disagree on topics. However, it felt as if I was misunderstood and not supported. Who knows maybe I should have said more or explained myself better. It made me think "Did I hear God right?" "Am I following His lead ?"

On this Monday I am holding onto these two scriptures. I read them in this Proverbs 31 Devotion It was written by Carol Davis

Psalm 34:18, "The LORD is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." (NIV)

Isaiah 61:1, "The Spirit of the Sovereign LORD is on me, because the LORD has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners…" (NIV)

There is "POWER" in these scriptures!

Love is in Jr. High Orientation

LOVE in our home today sounded like this. '"MOM, will you please stay in the car. You do not have to take me to the door." Notice: I saw all the other moms, going in with their Jr. Highers.

Yep, I guess you could call it LOVE that I stayed in the car, while dropping her off for Jr. High orientation. I mean it took LOVE. I guess she didn't want to be embarrassed, in front of her friends who by the way LOVE me. I just know they do *wink, wink*

All glorious is the princess within her chamber; her gown is interwoven with gold.

It is my mission to help young ladies understand their place in the kingdom of God. We are His daughters and therefore princesses of the Great King. We are so loved. If we could but just understand how we are valued by Almighty God, we would be unstoppable--talk about having a good healthy self esteem!

I would love to introduce you to a new purity curriculum for teen girls called "The Princess Within: Living Like a Princess from the Inside Out" for young ladies who truly want to learn how to live like a princess from the inside out! Tasty Tuesday Recipe

Tuesday's recipe is one of our family all time favorites! It really does taste like a traditional hawaiian kalua pig. It makes a ton, so there is plenty of leftovers. My hubby freezes it so we can have dinner on one of those "need a quick easy dinner nights." Your home will smell so good. I am getting hungry thinking about it.

Kalua Pig in Crockpot

Ingredients
1 pork butt/shoulder roast (we buy between 5 and 10 pounds)

1 1/2 tablespoons hawaiian sea salt.
(here is an example of what it looks like)
1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring

Directions
Pierce pork all over with a carving fork. Rub salt then liquid smoke over meat. Place roast in crockpot.
Cover, and cook on Low for 16 to 20 hours. Leave the lid on to seal in the flavor.
Remove meat from slow cooker, and shred.

Serve with hawaiian bread, rice or even mac nut pie for dessert.

Being A Hero With Love

Last week our church hosted Vacation Bible School entitled Hero Headquarters. Hundreds of children came to learn how Jesus can be their H-E-R-O. Throughout the week the children also learned through various activities how they can make a difference.
One of my favorite moments is seeing my daughter "Step Up and Do the Unexpected"
(this was the theme was from the first night)

She became a H-E-R-O with Love.

Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12

Emily had a blast being an assistant teacher with the preschool age children. I looked up from another activity and thought now that is love. What a blessing you are girl. Thank you for being one of God's H-E-R-O's!

Grilled Hawaiian Pizza

Happy Tuesday and welcome to Tasty Tuesday.

Every Tuesday , I plan on hosting a weekly Tasty Tuesday for all my fellow bloggers. This will give us all a place to share simple recipes. Ok here is the details because I know you want details right?

Oh girls, I wish we could all be gathered around a table for a cup of sweet tea or a good mocha and share stories and recipes instead of here. This will do though... Alright it is time to share my recipe here on this first Tasty Tuesday It is so fitting by the way. Yes, I made it up myself. I was really wanting a frappe one hot afternoon and saw there was some leftover coffee and thought hmmmm...... I looked thourgh the pantry and used what we had on hand. It also saved about $5.00 Dave Ramsey would be so proud.
Here is how to be your own barista ladies, instead of buying that pricey frappe. By making your own you can have a daily savings of more than $1,500 a year!

Homemade Mocha Frappe

Step 1 Add about a handful of ice in blender

Step 2 Add 1 package of hot chocolate

Step 3 Add 2 cups of cool coffee, 1/2c to 3/4c of milk

Step 4 Add 1tsp of vanilla. You can also add other flavors here like coconut, hazelnut etc

Step 5 Blend all ingredients in blender on low for a few seconds at a time

Step 6 Pour in your favorite mug or glass and ENJOY!!

(I put whipped topping and chocolate chips on mine mmmmm)

I have to add this disclaimer. I am one of those I do not measure kind of girls. I eyeball as I cook, so you may or may not need to adjust the amounts according to your taste buds. You can also make this for the kiddos without the coffee. My youngest loves the taste.

Simple Summer Recipies

Hello bloggy friends. How are you doing this fine Monday? This weekend we spent alot of time at the ball field for our daughter's softball tourney. As always we had a blast. The girls did a great job.

I wanted to let your know about what is stirring up and cooking here at Beautiful Daughters each Tuesday.

Tuesday's will be called "Tasty Tuesday" This is where we will share our simple recipes for the rest of the summer. If you are anything like me SIMPLE is what you need at your home.
These recipes can be anything from breakfast, lunch, dinner or a snack. Maybe you even have a great recipe for popsicles or smoothies. Oh ladies, my stomach is doing the happy dance just thinking about all these new recipes we are going to share. I am so looking forward to it. I will give you more instructions tomorrow.

Getting my organizing on....

Both of my children have been at camp all week, so this mama has been getting her organizing on. Oh, sure I would rather have gone and sat by the pool or had a much needed massage. Household responsibilities were calling or should I say screaming at me.

One of those areas screaming at me has been the Walk In Closet..... Walk in closet becomes stand over and reach in closet.... Yes, this has happened in our house. I normally would show you a picture, however it is not so pretty. Please tell me that you have been there too. I can laugh at it now. Why? I can see the floor. This closet has become the catch all. If someone is coming over and there is no time, in it goes. If no one knows where to put it somehow it ends up there too. Just the other day while breaking a sweat and talking to my sweet granny on the phone, Ta Da I found a spatula. We both laughed ourselves silly. How on earth did that get in there we wondered. It was probably in the catch all kitchen basket that got moved to the reach in closet. Just keeping it real ladies......

So, tell me what is on you organizing to do list. Have you have ever had this problem and how did you tackle it? This mama would love for you to share your tips. Oh, don't get me wrong I am a great organizer, it is the maintaining it thing that gets this family every time.

Wisdom Teeth Ramblings

Today is Friday.... I really do like Friday's however this one has had me on the "I dread today list."
Why? Wisdom Teeth. I have put this off and now it has to be done. Want to know how fearful ,I have been about having my wisdom teeth out? Very fearful to be honest. I think putting me out really has been one of the roots of my fears. The thought of it has made my stomach do the butterfly dance.

I would rather be here.....

This morning while having my quiet time, I opened my devotional book Jesus Calling by Sarah Young and the words about flew off the page. It read Trust Me and do not be afraid, for I am your Strength and Song. Do not let fear dissipate your energy. Instead, invest your energy in trusting Me and singing my Song. I just wanted to sit there and rest with Him all day. This is where the peace of our Father starting flowing in. It will be alright Rachel. Trust me. Pray continually. I will be meditating on some Scripture before going in to have my wisdom teeth out today. I will trust Him for He is my Strength and my Song.

True Sportsmanship

Warm weather brings girls, coaches and families to softball diamonds for games all over the country.
Our family is one of them. It is so much fun. All the girls and their families on the fastpitch team our daughter plays for feels like one big family. I am proud of our girls. They all have good sportsmanship.

Softball may not be apart of your family. Even if it is not the video below is inspiring.

Let's apply this to our Christian walk. What random act of kindness can you do today? Let's be the hands and feet of Jesus on and off the ball fields. Shine today with true sportsmanship.

Matthew 5:16 In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.

Prayer... Father forgive us for the times we may have been selfish. Help us to throw off all selfishness and let the beauty of helping others come into our hearts today. We want to shine for you. In Jesus name Amen....

Oh the things children do. Our home was filled with laughter just looking at this picture. We had forgotten all about this. Yes, that is a Sprite bottle on the side of the refrigerator. Our son is always leaving funny treasures for us to find.
